Solitaire Families in Our Collection
Our collection spans the most beloved solitaire families, each offering a distinct strategic challenge. From the familiar to the fiendishly difficult, there is a game here for every skill level.
Klondike - The World's Most Recognized Solitaire
Klondike is the game most people picture when they hear "solitaire." It uses a single deck of 52 cards, a seven-column tableau, and a stock pile you draw from. We offer both Turn 1 (draw one card at a time, more forgiving) and Turn 3 (draw three, requiring deeper planning). Choose your style and see how fast you can clear the board.
Spider - Multi-Suit Stacking Challenge
Spider Solitaire uses two decks and ten tableau columns. The goal is to build descending runs of the same suit from King to Ace. We offer One Suit (easiest, great for learning), Two Suits (moderate), Spiderette (single-deck Spider with a seven-column layout), and Four Suits (the ultimate test of patience and planning). Spider rewards long-term strategic thinking over quick moves.
Freecell - Strategy Over Luck
Freecell deals all 52 cards face-up from the start - there are no hidden cards. Four free cells serve as temporary storage, and the challenge comes from planning your moves several steps ahead. Nearly every Freecell deal is solvable, making it the purest test of skill in our collection. We also offer Double Freecell with two decks for players who want an extended challenge.
Penguin - Beak-Based Freecell Variant
Penguin Solitaire is another full-information game in the Freecell family, but with a rotating beak rank that changes foundation order and empty-column rules. If you like strategic planning and same-suit stack movement, Penguin is one of the best high-skill variants to master.
Forty Thieves / Napoleon - Two-Deck Patience Family
The Napoleon at St Helena family uses two decks, ten tableau columns, and eight foundations. Each variant changes the build rule or how many cards start face-down. Forty Thieves is the classic same-suit version with a win rate around 10%. Streets Solitaire swaps to alternating-colour building for more flexibility and a win rate around 20%. Deauville Solitaire adds three face-down rows per column, turning the game into a hidden-information challenge. Josephine is also part of this family, offering Classic and Relaxed modes.
